About CoSTAR



CoSTAR logo

CoSTAR is the UK’s national research and development infrastructure for the creative industries. It brings together facilities, expertise, and digital technologies to support innovation across areas such as virtual production, immersive media, AI-enabled content creation, simulation, and advanced data analysis.

The CoSTAR HPC Cluster

Hosted by the University of Surrey, the CoSTAR cluster provides the high-performance computing backbone for this research.

Designed for heavy data processing and GPU-accelerated workloads, the system empowers researchers to build scalable, reproducible workflows using industry-standard tools such as Slurm, Apptainer containers, and Open OnDemand.
