Module 3: Software
==================

On a shared high-performance cluster, software deployment looks a bit different than on a local workstation.
This module covers the CoSTAR software philosophy, utilising virtual environment, and running secure,
hardware-accelerated container workflows.

Learning Goals

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

* Navigate the software landscape on the CoSTAR cluster.
* Install, configure, and manage software packages within your personal user space.
* Compile your own software in your user space.
* Build and execute containerised workflows using Apptainer (Singularity).
* Apply best practices for performance-efficient software execution on HPC nodes.
* Locate official documentation and support channels for software troubleshooting.
